I realized along the way in 2007 that I wasn't happy with the classic work options most people take:

1) A corporate job  (stifling!)

2) Consulting (no scalability, you're on the clock)

3) Startup (5 years of stress with an uncertain outcome)

4) Starving artist/non-profit (work through passion, but little money)

My goal is to create my own perfect working world (I want to have my cake, and eat it too), combining:

+ The predictability of the corporate world

+ The independence of a consultant

+ The upside of a startup

+ The passion of a starving artist

It turns out I can't create this world on my own, but the more like-minded people I can gather together or collaborate with, the easier it will be to create (for us all).  This led me to PebbleStorm.
